project details
A thoughtfully preserved midcentury modern home in Phoenix, originally designed by Ralph Haver. This project embraces clean lines, natural light, and a restrained palette—allowing the architecture itself to take center stage.
Midcentury Modern Home • Phoenix, Arizona
With an abundance of windows and thoughtfully placed openings, the home is defined by its connection to the outdoors. During Phoenix’s mild seasons, it lives entirely open—cross-breezes moving through the space, eliminating the need for mechanical heating or cooling.
The design approach was intentionally restrained. A neutral palette allows the architecture, artwork, and furnishings to stand forward, while material choices remain honest and uncomplicated.
This is not a static project, but one that continues to evolve—an ongoing study in how thoughtful design adapts over time.
This home is rich with architectural integrity—originally designed by Ralph Haver and later cared for by an architect homeowner who understood its value.
